How was your August? Sun finally arrived in the UK and we enjoyed soaking up the rays. There is nothing quite like a summer’s day in England. We took a trip to the picturesque village of Rye featured in the wonderful BBC television series Mapp and Lucia to enjoy the lovely weather. Rye is a village of half-timbered cottages, creeping ivy, cobblestones and idyllic pub gardens. All in the shade of a medieval castle. There you can forget most of the troubles of the world and imagine yourself in a Miss Marple mystery.
If you cannot make it to Rye and are looking for some other means to escape, here are some favourite links I discovered in August.

Coming up in September
I spend a lot of time living in and traveling to cities. I love urban environments for their energy, pace and endless opportunities to learn from fellow human beings. But while I love that non stop lifestyle I also crave the tranquility of the countryside. The theme for September is nature and natural wonders. I will be sharing some adventures from our trip to Switzerland and Italy in late August as well as some interesting finds from the UK.
Thanks, as always, for reading
